About Sheryna

Sheryna is an independent Singapore publisher covering the practical side of home life — renting and buying property, furnishing a home, choosing and fixing appliances, renovating, moving, and buying and selling second-hand.

What we do

We publish plain-language guides that answer the questions Singapore residents actually ask: how much something costs, which option to choose, what the rules are, and how to get it done. Our coverage spans six areas — Property & Rentals, Furniture & Homeware, Appliances & Electronics, Renovation & Services, Moving & Home Setup, and Buying & Selling Used.

Everything we publish is written for Singapore specifically — HDB and condo realities, local rules and statutory boards, and current market pricing — not generic advice reheated from elsewhere.

What we are not

Sheryna is a publisher, not a marketplace. We do not sell products, list vendors, or act as a directory. When a guide points you toward getting quotes — for movers, renovation, agents or cleaning — that is a convenience for readers, not a paid listing. Keeping our guidance editorial is the whole point: we are here to help you decide, not to sell you a name.

How we’re funded

Sheryna is free to read. In future we may earn a referral fee when readers request quotes through our forms, or a commission when they buy through some links — and where that happens we will say so clearly. It never changes what we recommend or what we choose to cover. You can read more in How We Research.

Who writes Sheryna

Our guides are researched and written by the Sheryna Editorial Team. We compile from primary Singapore sources — HDB, IRAS, CPF, CEA, MOM, NEA and SP Group — alongside current market pricing, and we review our guides for accuracy and currency. Where figures like grants, stamp duties or interest rates are involved, we describe how they work and point you to the official source for the current number, because those change.
